Prayer for the Ministry of Christ Music
O God, by whose grace and mercy we come to you this day,
To live and love for the sake of your name
We ask that by this same grace and mercy
You would use our gift of music
To edify your people, to build your kingdom
And to give glory to You and You alone
Send Your Spirit to strengthen Your Church, Your Bride
Renew our hearts, transform our minds
And set ablaze the fire of Your love among us
As You move powerfully among us
May we bring the gift of music You have so generously given to us
To the Altar of Thanksgiving, to the Cross of Sacrifice,
To Your footstool of the Earth, and to Your Throne of Grace in Heaven
So that all who hear, sing, worship, praise and adore You through this music
Will humbly glorify You Who are deserving of all praise
And without Whom we can do nothing.
May the image of us, Your humble instruments, grow ever more faint
As the Image of Christ Our Lord grows ever clearer to the to whom we
minister. We ask this through our Savior, by Whose Cross You have redeemed the
world,
