What We Do | Who We Are

Christ Music is a Catholic Ministry Company founded in 2002 in response to the growing need for a renewal of the heart of the Church. We seek to align ourselves with the late Pope John Paul II’s call for a “New Evangelization”, promoting devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus through the gift of praise & worship and adoration. As children of the renewal in the Church, we rejoice in our rich tradition while singing our Catholic faith in a modern voice; creating an experience of musical worship that is truly timeless. We are musicians, lay ministers, priests, fathers, brothers, mothers and sisters, sharing one goal in common: to share in the eternal song that awaits us in heaven, while bringing life to the Church on earth.

Christ Music is a not for profit, Catholic Ministry Company founded in 2002, whose purpose is to bring about the renewal of Catholic music as a whole, both sacred and devotional.

What kind of music?
The music that we will create will not be bound to any one style, but rather a blending of modern and ancient. We want to exalt the musical treasures of our heritage while communicating them to the modern consciousness. We hope to operate aggressively in our media-saturated culture will produce music that could be described as both traditional and contemporary, inspiring deep emotions while enlightening the mind, proclaiming the truth in a language that will demand a response from the listener, drawing them deeper into the mysteries of gospel of Christ. This music will resonate with truth, as the grain of a string instrument resonates with a rich tone. We hope to bring any listener to a deeper experience of prayer, regardless of their stylistic preferences.

Caelorum Services
At the heart of our mission is a renewed devotion to Christ in His Eucharistic Presence. Therefore, we have focused our attention to providing large-scale prayer service events that include lively praise, a sharing of the word, and a Eucharistic Holy Hour. We call these events "Caelorum" (Chay-lore-um) which is roughly translated from Latin, "of heaven". It is our desire to imitate at each Caelorum the worship of heaven, uniting our voices as one song in praise to the Lamb of God who has taken away our sins. The goal is that Caelorums will be held in parishes all over the world, futhering the reawakening of Catholic hearts to the dawn of Christ's amazing love for them.

Christ Music and the liturgy
We are primarily a musical source for personal devotion. Although the music and events that we produce are inherently tied to the Sacrifice of the Mass, we believe that the best liturgical reform seeks to renew the Christian through a conversion of their heart. Many Catholic churchgoers know something about Christ, and seek Him in their attendance at Mass and occasional sacraments, but would not consider their relationship with God as a fundamental purpose of their daily life. Their faith has evolved into a cultural practice that has failed to flower into true, passionate, life-changing faith.

It is only through the personal faith of each of the liturgical assembly can one hope for a celebration of the Divine Liturgy with full, conscious and active participation. United in Eucharistic adoration, we desire to serve the liturgy by fanning into flame the burning embers of Baptism and Confirmation present in nominal Catholics. The Caelorums provide us with a powerful way to celebrate the truth of Christ's Eucharistic presence with us while allowing for the freedom of the worshipper to approach Christ in a more personal fashion. It is this personal faith that many Catholics long for.
